(CONCORD, NH)(December 28, 2010) In a dramatic example of how nimble a campaigner Andy Martin will be in the Republican Party’s 2012 presidential campaign Martin moved his candidacy announcement from Chicago to Concord, New Hampshire after he was snowed in and unable to fly home to Chicago.

Andy Martin, who created the anti-Obama “Birther” movement with his original columns in 2004, and thereafter detailed the gaps in Barack Obama’s personal history, and who became the target of smear operations by David Axelrod’s Obama campaign mud merchants, will “take it to the next level” when he formally announces as a candidate for President of the United States with dual announcements, first live on WTPL-FM in Concord and thereafter at the State Capitol Legislative Office Building in Concord, New Hampshire on Wednesday, December 29th.

“After I announced that I would make a formal presidential announcement in Chicago, I was literally ‘snowed under’ by the East Coast blizzard. My flight home was cancelled. My team responded by making an advantage of adversity; our ‘Road Warrior Squadron’ came up with a new announcement location in Concord, New Hampshire.

“I want to thank Hawai’i Governor Neal Abercrombie for motivating me to make a final decision to run. Abercrombie’s Christmas Eve attacks on ‘Birthers’ were disgraceful. (link below) While I am not a reluctant candidate I am not particularly looking ahead to criss-crossing the nation.

“But I saw the Republican Party’s ‘establishment’ forfeit the 2008 election when John McCain was afraid to take on Obama and confront him over Obama’s missing family history and resume. I do not want Republicans to repeat 2008’s mistakes. Americans can’t stand four more years of Obama’s ‘socialism and surrender’ policies. Republican Party primary voters deserve a genuine anti-Obama presidential candidate.

“I am also going to try to start some TV production while I am in New Hampshire. We will be the first presidential campaign to air advertising if our financial resources permit. We’ll do as much as campaign contributors provide us with in the way of a budget.”

Martin will be New Hampshire’s Favorite Son in the primary. He spent summers at Hampton Beach as a child. His mother was born in Manchester; she is a 1940 graduate of the University of New Hampshire. Martin’s family emigrated from Greece and was part of Manchester’s vibrant Greek-American community in the early decades of the twentieth century.

“Although I am best known as the author of the columns and book that exposed Obama’s hidden part,” Martin says, “I will not be a one-issue candidate. I have concerns about the Republican Party’s attitudes towards consumer protection. Republicans are too dependent on Wall Street campaign cash. The moneyed leadership of both political parties is too removed from the daily struggles of ordinary Americans.

“I want to build within the Republican Party a ‘Creative Conservatism’ that unites every American family so that united we can ‘Stand Up to Wall Street.’ There will be some very tough and very creative policy proposals coming from my campaign.

“Last week Neal Abercrombie threw down the Birther gauntlet; I hope Abercrombie is ready for the response,” Martin will state.

(NEW YORK)(December 26, 2010) Internet Powerhouse and conservative Republican Party corruption fighter Andy Martin has scheduled a Chicago news conference for Wednesday, December 29th at which he is expected to announce his candidacy for the Republican Party’s 2012 presidential nomination. Martin is currently in New York.

Martin says the “last straw” in inducing him to run was Hawai’i Governor Neal Abercrombie’s latest attacks on the “Birther” movement. Martin is the de facto founder of the anti-Obama Birther movement that reflects doubts about Obama’s family origins

Abercrombie has said he is going to attack Birthers (see links below) by opening Hawaii’s records.

Martin triggered a firestorm of left-wing attacks and a front-page smear by the New York Times when he appeared on a Fox News program and exposed Obama’s socialist agenda during the 2008 campaign.

“Since Barack Obama is ‘vacationing’ in Hawai’i,” Martin stated Sunday in New York where he is meeting with potential supporters for his campaign, “Maybe he could call over to the Hawai’i Health Department and authorize them to release the typewritten copy of his 1961 birth certificate, the so-called ‘long form’ that Obama has steadfastly refused to disclose. What is Obama hiding?

“Has Governor Neal Abercrombie seen the long form?

“There is nothing in Hawaii law that prevents the release of the typewritten long-form birth certificate for the President of the United States. Hawai’i law was intended to prevent the release of personal information involving private citizens, not to conceal a conspiracy by President Barack Obama to hold office when he is constitutionally ineligible to do so.

“Ironically, Mr. Abercrombie is implicitly joining the Birther movement if he really wants to release Obama’s secret Hawai’i records; I say ‘Welcome to the party, Neal. How about starting with the typewritten 1961 long form? Why is it being hidden?’”

“I have made so many trips to Hawai’i to investigate Obama that a local newspaper once called me a resident of Honolulu. I feel at home in Hawai’i. I am the only one of Obama’s critics that has done extensive research in Hawai’i. Obama fears me precisely because I am devoted to finding the facts and searching for the truth, unlike some Birthers who are money-grubbing hucksters and incompetent attorneys.

“What is interesting is that Obama appears to be behind Abercrombie’s latest gambit. Obama arrived in Honolulu and within hours the Birther attacks started, using Obama bird-dog Abercrombie.

“I believe Republican Party presidential primary voters should have the option of expressing their concerns about Obama’s origins, and voting for a candidate who is unafraid to tackle the issue of Obama’s qualifications to serve as president. As a legal scholar and someone who has studied this issue extensively, I am convinced Obama is ineligible to be president. He is an illegitimate president.

“Likewise, Obama is the product not of a Hawai’i ‘marriage’ but rather of an illicit affair if you believe Obama’s own fairy tale. His ‘father’ was legally married to a woman in Kenya. There is no way under Hawai’i law Barack Obama Senior could have contacted for a legal Hawai’i marriage. The fact that Obama’s own story leaves him as an illegitimate child motivated me to search for an alternative explanation, which I found in my theory (underscore theory) that Frank Marshall Davis was Obama’s biological father. Obama has never attacked my ‘Davis Theory.’

“Six years ago I created the anti-Obama movement when my research disclosed that Obama was concealing his Muslim origins. I have produced a film on Obama’s origins (see below) as well as a bestselling book. In all of this work I have tried to separate my partisan views, i.e. opposition to Obama’s political agenda, from my duties as a scholar and researcher to seek and write the truth. I have consistently and conscientiously stuck to a search for the facts about the Mysterious Mr. Obama. That is why Obama and his thugs fear me, and do not fear other Birther characters.

“My writing and research triggered a movement that now has 100 million Americans questioning Obama’s origins. I call myself a ‘doubter,’ but I accept the media’s use of the term ‘Birther.’ What matters is not what they call us; what matters are the facts and truth about Barack Obama’s origins. That’s all I want. That’s what the American people want, and that’s what they are entitled to from their presidential candidates,” Martin said in announcing his news conference.

“John McCain would be sitting in the White House today if he had tackled the Birther issue,” Martin says. “Conventional Republicans are afraid to raise the question of Obama’s origins. That’s why Republican presidential primary voters deserve the option of voting for me as a Republican Birther.

“I will not be a one issue candidate. There are a lot of conservative issues that ‘Wall Street Republicans’ would like to sweep under the presidential campaign carpet. I will be there to speak on behalf of Main Street, not Wall Street.

“And, P.S., while Abercrombie is at it, why doesn’t he ask his pal Obama to release his Punahou School [Honolulu] records, and his Occidental College, Columbia University and Harvard Law School records? How did Saudi stooge Khalid al-Mansour end up on Obama’s list of law school supporters?”

Martin’s Chicago news conferences are known as “Bunker Busters” because of the firestorms they create and the myths they explode.

Martin accuses the Washington Post’s Gene Robinson of becoming become the newspaper’s resident “Racist-in-Chief”

Andy says Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour is the victim of a liberal smear campaign

(NEW YORK)(December 2, 2010) It’s “holiday” time for some (for me Christmas). While most people have good cheer in their hearts, the relentless disinformation and racist smears of the mainstream media are going full blast to demonize Governor Haley Barbour and Republicans in general. As someone with actual knowledge and experience of the civil rights era, the media and the Republican Party, I rise unhesitatingly to stand up to and condemn the Washington Post’s resident Racist-in-Chief, Gene Robinson, and to condemn efforts to demonize Barbour. I have no links of any sort to Governor Haley Barbour.

The origins of the latest controversy are an article in the Weekly Standard in which Barbour discusses in passing the civil rights era from his perspective. (link below) The gist of Barbour’s view is that as the civil rights era unfolded, different communities reacted differently. Out of this tiny acorn the Washington Post has created a mighty oak of lies, more lies and damn lies. The Post’s Gene Robinson is the prime orchestrator of this despicable behavior.

The Post began by reporting Barbour’s comments as though the governor was a racist. (links blow). Then the Washington Post’s latest “conservative writer” Jennifer Rubin buried Barbour’s presidential campaign before it was even announced (link below). The Washington Post always keeps a liberal-Democrat-as-“conservative” on its staff. Rubin is the Post’s latest liberal “conservative.” Rubin’s “conservative” predecessor, Dave Weigel, was fired by the Post when he was outed as a liberal: Weigel promptly became a flack on Keith Olbermann’s nightly left-wing tirade. Some “conservative.” [Full disclosure: Weigel has also written lies about me.]

Younger Post writers trying to make sense of the attacks on Barbour looked back to Gene Robinson’s despicable earlier attack on Barbour that had slipped by unnoticed during the heat of the recent campaign (link below).

Robison’s Big Lie: that Republicans in the South were racists during the civil rights civil war, and that Barbour’s claim that Republicans led the civil rights era is nonsense. Gene Robinson is a bald-faced liar.

Robinson’s distortion and disinformation of Barbour’s views: “He [Barbour] has the gall to try to portray Southern Republicans as having been enlightened supporters of the civil rights movement all along.” (link below)

Here are the facts:

1. Slaves were emancipated by a Republican president, Abraham Lincoln. In gratitude, from the end of the Civil War well into the 20th Century most African-Americans were Republicans, not Democrats. Jim Crow racism was a creation of Democrats, not Republicans.

2. During the years when the “solid South” was a bulwark of the Democratic Party, the most vicious racists were all Democrats.

3. The only federal civil rights advocates were Republican judges. Due to segregation, the actual Republican Party in the racist south was skeletal. But the handful of southern Republicans had one powerful trump card: they controlled federal patronage during periods of Republican presidents. When Dwight Eisenhower took office as a Republican president in 1953 he began to appoint “Republican judges” to the Court of Appeals in New Orleans and the federal district courts in the south. Republican appointees to the Court of Appeals Elbert Tuttle, John Minor Wisdom and John R. Brown were the men who captained the assault on Jim Crow and segregation.

4. The most illustrious federal judge of the civil rights era was probably Frank M. Johnson, a Republican who was appointed by President Eisenhower in 1955. Johnson was at the center of the desegregation wars, constantly battling Alabama Governor George Wallace.

5. In 1960 Presidential candidate John F. Kenney weakened the lingering support of African-Americans for the Republican Party by reaching out to civil rights advocates such as Reverend Martin Luther King.

6. But once elected, Kennedy and his brother Robert Kennedy renewed the Democratic Party’s practice of appointing racist judges to the federal courts in the South.

7. More Republicans than Democrats voted for the Civil Rights Acts of 1964 and 1965.

8. In the 1964 presidential election the South switched from Democrat to Republican. Southern voters backed conservative Republican Barry Goldwater. But Goldwater was no racist. Goldwater was as decent a man as ever served in the senate. Goldwater had a conservative vision that saw an excessively limited role for the federal government; his vision, when followed to its logical conclusion, was wrong on the issue of civil rights. If anyone believed in 1964 they were voting for a racist in backing Goldwater, they were mistaken.

9. In 1968 President Richard Nixon crafted the “Southern Strategy” to appeal to conservative white voters. The wisdom of that approach is open to debate. But by 1968 the climate had also shifted in the North. Bitter civil rights disputes had broken out in Chicago, where Mayor Richard Daley clubbed and arrested civil rights advocates (I was there). Angry Whites had already stoned Reverend Martin Luther King in Chicago in 1967.

10. Boston, home of the Kennedy dynasty, was also the scene of vicious civil rights resistance.

11. To say that Republicans had a monopoly on the growing resistance the civil rights agenda is demonstrably false. History, not even morally correct history such as the civil rights revolution, does not always move in a straight line.

The bottom line:

1. Segregation in the south was entirely a construction of the Democratic Party.

2. For decades almost all of the southerners fighting to maintain Jim Crow and segregation were Democrats. Most leading advocates of civil rights reform were Republicans.

3. Without Republican federal judges the civil rights revolution would have been stymied.

I know. I was there and saw it unfold before my eyes.

One closing observation about media lies and modern media mythology:

Today we are flooded with media contacts and images. We have cable TV bobbleheads, news, opinion, blogs, the Internet. We even have “dead tree media” (national newspapers). There is a daily avalanche of information. That was not the world in which Haley Barbour and I grew up.

The evening news was still 15 minutes going into the 60’s. “National” newspapers did not exist. Actual information and “news” was scarce. Almost all of our daily news came from local papers and the odd radio news report; they in turn were dominated by clipped wire service journalism.

Looking back half a century from today’s perspective, we instinctively and unconsciously compress years of civil rights activity into a few dramatic moments and a linear narrative. But that was not the way the civil rights revolution actually unfolded and took place day-by-day in the earlier media age.

There was scant “news” coverage, except for reporting on the occasional dramatic demonstration (Bull Conner in Birmingham or Governor George Wallace barring the door) and most people in Illinois, as well as those in Yazoo City, Mississippi, were only peripherally aware of the civil rights maelstrom taking place beyond the horizon.

Gene Robinson wants to rewrite history to paint Republicans as racists. That is a Big Lie. Robinson has sadly become the Washington Post’s resident “Racist-in-Chief.” For shame, Mr. Robinson.

P. S. Resident liberal “conservative” Jennifer Rubin has the Barbour-as-a-racist brouhaha backwards. The fact that the Barbour controversy is being ventilated now, before the governor even announces, means the issue of media lies is out in the open to be confronted and deconstructed.

(NEW YORK)(December 19, 2010) Well, the Congress has voted to allow “gays” to serve “openly” in the military. It is time for ContrarianCommentary to prick President Barry Obama’s balloon on this non-issue.

The nation is bankrupt, the housing market is moribund, the war in Afghanistan is going poorly and the national government is focused on and fixated on whether homosexuals can serve “openly” in the military? Is it any wonder we can’t find Osama Bin Laden or that the Taliban is winning while losing? Where is Julian Assange when we really need him?

After you read this column you will never look at the “gays in the military” circus quite the same way.

It is a myth that the “American public” and military brass and personnel support gays in the military. This is complete nonsense.

Few Americans know anything about military service because fewer and fewer have actually served. Out of over 300 million Americans, how many veterans are there under forty? Several million, perhaps, but a relative handful. So most Americans are expressing an opinion on a topic, homosexuals serving in the military, that they know nothing about.

One of the joys of our modern society is that pollsters constantly ask people what they think about issues where the polled have no idea what they are talking about. In politics, it is Ok to have an opinion without being knowledgeable about the topic. We all get to vote. But in corporate activity, medicine or the military, few people can express an informed opinion.

The fallacy in polling Americans about “gays in the military” is that people being polled tend to equate “gays in the military” with “gays next door” or gays in the workplace. But the military and the demands of military service bear no connection to civilian life.

Most of us agree that that there should not be discrimination against homosexuals in ordinary daily life. (Additionally, I support civil unions because they have been applied to gays and non-gays alike.) Persecuting people in public for what they do in private is wrong. Perhaps we as a nation were not always this enlightened. OK, so our views have changed. I have no problem with that. But I do have a problem when people unconsciously conflate their views on civilian homosexuality with military homosexuality. The two environments are totally different.

The military is not a democracy. We do not get to express our “constitutional rights” in the military the same way we do in civilian life. Let me provide an obvious example. Civilians have a virtually unrestricted “right” to believe and act on their belief that Barack Obama is a usurper president. One hundred million Americans have doubts about Obama’s origins—rightly or wrongly—and tens of millions of those people whom the liberal media consider misguided souls got to vote in November. They voted against Obama and his policies because of their doubts about his “birth.” They had a “right” to do so, and they did.

But Lt. Col. Terry Lakin had no “right” in the military to act on his Birther beliefs. He is being locked up and thrown out of the military for expressing the same sentiments as civilians. No, the military is not a democracy and military men and women do not get to express their opinions on civilian “rights” or to act on their beliefs concerning civilian matters.

In the Gospel According to Obama, it is now all right to practice homosexuality in the military but a criminal act to believe Obama is an illegitimate president. This is “elitism” and “discrimination” in its most embarrassing juxtaposition.

The Pentagon conducted corrupted “polling” by requiring most troops to state their views in open meetings. There was apparently little, if any, anonymous polling.

I have never served on active duty in the military, but I did enlist in the reserves, received an honorable discharge and have worked alongside military officers and enlisted men in battle zones from Viet-Nam to Iraq and elsewhere. So I have some experience with military operations.

The “military” is not a monolithic operation. Military service differs widely. When I was in Dong Ha during the Viet-Nam era, the Air Force had had an air conditioned bar, with a selection of beverages, on a military installation. Airmen lived comfortably. Literally across the street a Marine company lived in tin-roofed “hooches” with no plumbing and no walls. And, no air conditioning. The services are not the same. What works in one service may not work in another.

In the Air Force, recruits probably have private rooms in basic training. I don’t know that for a fact but I suspect airmen and women have rooms with a lock.

Conditions in the Air Force, however, bear no relationship to warrior training in the Marine Corps where men are packed in tightly, purposefully, to create unit cohesion and to break down a recruit’s individuality.

The first time I saw a Navy sleeping room I was stunned by the folding bunks stacked five or six from top to bottom with minimal space between the bunks. Men at sea are packed in tightly. That was on an aircraft carrier. Submarines anyone?

In combat, the situations even more extreme. If you saw the recent movie “Restrepo” you got a good glimpse of conditions in the field in Afghanistan. In Viet-Nam we used to make fun of “Saigon commandoes” who had rooms and maid service, while soldiers and Marines in the field lived in tents, or worse.

I vividly remember one special forces operation with Team A-109 at Thuong Duc where there were only two of us, the Captain and myself, out in the boonies in an area surrounded and crawling with North Vietnamese troops. We were looking for them! Out in the field the Captain and I at Thuong Duc were living next to each other. There were no twin beds in the middle of a combat patrol. Back at the camp, the team was packed into a tiny bunker.

So military life varies greatly between the services, and within the services. Life on the front lines, moreover, bears no relationship to civilian life. Using civilian life and its panoply of “rights” as a template to analyze homosexuality in the military is totally misinformed.

Gays in civilian life are used to an environment where lawsuits and threats of litigation are a part of expanding “gay rights.” There are no “rights” in the military. When you take the oath as an officer or enlisted person you voluntarily surrender your personal rights to the group. You are not allowed to question orders or authority. What happens when the sergeant picks out a gay solider and says “You walk point?” Is the gay troop going to protest and say he is being discriminated against?

Gays are welcome to serve in the military, today, right now, this instant. But they are expected to subordinate their individuality to the overwhelming mission of the military. By trying to create a protected class of “open” gays Obama is trying to shred the fabric of military obedience and submission to command authority.

Finally, Congress itself appears to have purchased a pig in a poke. The new law requires the Pentagon to plan and make preparations for homosexuals to serve “openly” in the military before the new law is actually implemented.

Can anyone who supports homosexuals-in-the military please tell me what “openly” means? Do you, dear reader, if you are a supporter of “gays in the military,” know what “openly” means? What are the limits of “openly?”

Some aspects of “openly” serve as a homosexual are obvious. A person should be able to walk into a gay bar off base without being thrown out of the service (yes, there are gay bars near military installations). Whether you go to a “straight” bar or “gay” bar makes no difference.

But the “gay rights” movement is a lot broader than just homosexuals and lesbians. The acronym usually used is “GLBT” to compress “Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender.” Will the military also have to accommodate Bisexual and Transgender personnel? And who decides what is what or which is which? It is not surprising that the Marines, our preeminent fighting force, said they had more important things to do right now than decide how to implement gay rights.

And back to “openly.” Just what does “openly” mean? Will you register as a “gay” (or GLBT) when you enlist? Will two men or two women be allowed to occupy married housing? Will the “wives” of officers be entitled to membership in the officer’s clubs? Will a Marine now be allowed appear, in full uniform, made up to resemble Adam Lambert? Lipstick for gays—is that part of “openly?” Will gays be entitled to special facilities on military posts or bases? Where does “openly” begin and where does “openly” end? Or does it end?

Does “openly” mean you can merely claim to be “openly gay,” or does it mean you have a right to practice homosexuality or engage in homosexual acts on military reservations or while in combat? Congress is creating a monster with “gays in the military” legislation. The blowback will not be pretty.

In civilian life, if you disagree with a government ruling you can appeal administratively or file a lawsuit. Are gays going to have gay rights tribunals to review implementation of gay rights in the military? No one knows where we are headed.

There is no “right” to serve in the military. The military services get to pretty much choose who they want as personnel. Do we allow excluded gays to sue? To file claims that the term “openly” is not being employed “openly” enough?

If the U. S. were prospering right now, and if Congress had nothing better to do with its time, examining the issue of “gays in the military” might be a harmless activity. But the obsession today with creating homosexual “rights” to “serve” is going to prove hugely disruptive and highly embarrassing to President Obama. By 2012 the issue may be politically toxic.

Now you get some idea of why the “gays openly in the military” crusade could be just a political maneuver to confuse and disrupt military operations in the middle of a war. (Attention conspiracy theorists: Perhaps even an Al Qaeda plot?)

We know that gays have served honorably in our military services, and they should be encouraged and welcome to do so. Perhaps “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” could be tweaked to remove potential abuses. But gays should be welcome to serve on the same terms as anyone else, by subordinating their “rights” to military order and discipline.

I respect and honor and salute any American, gay, straight or whatever, that takes on the responsibility and risk of wearing a uniform. Especially in wartime. But if Col. Terry Lakin has to surrender his political views at the entrance to the Army post, shouldn’t gays be required to surrender their personal beliefs as well? Or is it a “crime” to believe Obama is an imposter and a “right” to actually practice homosexual acts while on military duty in a combat zone?

Take another look at the movie “Restrepo” and tell me (send me a letter) telling me what “gays serving openly in the military” would mean in the Korengal Valley. In other words, what are the limits of gay rights on active duty? Because the real world and the end of the line in the military is the battle front. Tell me what “openly” means in battle. I have no idea. And I’ve been there, done that.

P.S. I have nothing against gays or gay rights in principle. I belong to a church whose leadership supports expansive gay rights although I do not. I have gay friends and gay neighbors and the whole shebang. I bear no human being any hostility or hatred. I believe gays are created by God, not men or women, and I believe that tolerance is one of the great virtues of any civilization. But I still don’t know what serving “openly” in the military as a homosexual means. And, dear reader, neither do you. Is this any way to legislate in the middle of a war? No.

(NEW YORK)(December 16, 2010) Almost seven years ago I started looking and writing about President (then State Senator) Barack Obama’s past. I’m still looking.

I was particularly interested in Obama’s religion and family origins. Since 2004 Obama has done everything he can to obstruct access to information about his family history and personal history. Last month we convened a convention in Honolulu to discuss the open questions about Obama; committees are still drafting reports which will be released later this month. Tellingly, there is no plaque celebrating an “Obama Birthplace” in Hawai’i. Obama is a man without a birthplace. Hmmm.

My columns created the “Birther movement.” One leftist writer later anointed me as the “King of the Birthers.” Do I agree with everyone and everything Birthers say? Absolutely not. I have been in the forefront of exposing some of the charlatans and thieves in the Birther movement. My loyalty is only to finding the facts and speaking the truth about the Mysterious Mr. Obama. Others are not so fastidious.

In other words, as a “king” of the Birther movement I preside over an unruly kingdom. There are those who claim Obama was born in Kenya (I do not agree the evidence supports that view). Others say Obama traveled on foreign passports (I have my doubts).

The key question is whether Obama meets the U. S. Constitution’s requirement of being a “natural born citizen” eligible to serve as president. On that issue, I do not believe Obama is in fact constitutionally eligible to serve as president.

The mainstream media originally created the term “Birther” to ridicule people who had doubts about Obama’s “origins.” I turned tables on the media and adopted the term Birther as my own. That is a prerogative of “royalty.” Today, the research and writing that I began has grown to the point where 100 million Americans have doubts about Obama’s life story.

The public debate over Obama’s origins keeps popping up everywhere and almost in every sort of forum. Saturday Night Live recently joked about doubts concerning Obama’s origins (see link below). Baseball player Luke Scott expressed his Birther sentiments (his team promptly disassociated itself from Scott’s beliefs)(see link below).

And then there is the case of Army Lt. Col. Terry Lakin who became a Birther icon for refusing to deploy to Afghanistan on the basis of his doubts about Obama’s eligibility to serve as president.

Wednesday (December 15th) Lakin was convicted by an Army court martial (see link). Later Wednesday Lakin recanted his beliefs and said he was now ready to serve (see link below). The Lakin trial even drew New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd, who ridiculed the Birther movement (see link blow).

CNN host Anderson Cooper is obsessed with Birthers (see link below). Cooper called them all sorts of names on December 14th (no link yet). Cooper has repeatedly featured Birther guests, only to attack them and attempt to ridicule their beliefs. Although I disagree with much that is attributed to some Birthers, I am also aware that Cooper deliberately keeps calling inexperienced advocates to defend Birther beliefs instead of inviting me to be a guest. He is afraid to face me on camera.

So what does all of this mean? Are the Birthers winning or losing?

The Birthers are Winning. Hands Down.

I continue to refine and expand and develop the Birther movement. That’s why I am known as the “Internet Powerhouse.” Like a submarine service we work beneath the waves to focus and form public opinion, and to continue my efforts to expose Barack Obama as a charlatan and a fraud.

Today even Dick Morris of Fox News says Obama is a socialist. In 2008 I was the first person to call Obama a socialist on national television (see link below) which explains why Obama is obsessed with attacking and undermining me.

The Lakin case has ended badly because the strategy of using a senior army officer to confront Obama was flawed from the start. I had no connection to or part in Lakin’s case. I am entirely independent of his actions. I did, however send a letter to the Army Chief of Staff defending Lakin and his beliefs (which I posted on the I’net).

So why did I disagree with Lakin’s approach? The power of the government, which Obama temporarily controls, is at its greatest in dealing with the military. Military officers do not operate in a democratic environment. The army is not a democracy. Officers must follow orders. The power of the individual is therefore at its weakest when embodied in a military officer.

The “illegal orders” doctrine which grew out of World War II was never intended to allow an officer to challenge the authority of the chain of command for routine orders. It was intended to stop the massacre of innocents, not to allow an officer to hamstring military operations. The very essence of a military officer is obedience to general orders. Lakin’s case was the wrong test case.

Despite his ill-advised strategy, his guilty plea on one count, and his conviction on a second count, the military is likely to deal with Colonel Lakin leniently. First, he has now recanted his beliefs and expressed a willingness to deploy to Afghanistan. I expect him to be sent there. Second he has a very distinguished service record. Officers look at other officers in a lenient light.

Finally, a lenient disposition of Lakin’s case is in the interests of the Obama administration. If Lakin is imprisoned he will become a martyr. Deployed to Afghanistan Lakin will soon be forgotten. I expect Lakin to be fined, and perhaps reduced in rank temporarily. I do not expect him to do jail time. In all probability Lakin will be allowed, after suitable public flogging, to complete his military career and retire with a pension. Any other outcome will only fuel the Birther fires.

Why has Obama refused to release his original typewritten 1961 birth certificate? There are a number of possibilities, each of them very plausible. First, Obama was in fact born illegitimate (we now say “nonmarital”). His father was married to another woman. There is no way his “parents” ever marred legally under Hawai’i law. The Obama “marriage” was a sham.

Second, Obama’s birth was in all probability not attended to by a doctor. Third, Obama was in all probability not born in a hospital. Fourth, Obama’s “Father’s Religion” was probably listed as Muslim on the birth certificate. These are just some of the obvious possibilities which were typed on Obama’s original document in 1961.

None of this detailed information is part of the “Certificate of Live Birth” Obama released in 2008.

Obama does not want the truth to come out until he is out of office. Maybe not even then.

The same is true about Obama’s academic records. Obama in all probability sought “affirmative action” as a Muslim and Kenyan when he applied to Occidental College and other schools in his educational career. Obama’s massive ego does not allow him to admit he benefited from affirmative action, or that he lied about his religious and familial background.

Finally, Obama’s “father” (the one he claims as a father; my research in Hawai’i leads me to believe Frank Marshall Davis was Obama’s biological father) was obviously not a U. S. Citizen, and not even a permanent resident. He was here on a transient student visa.

The “natural born citizen” requirement in the U. S. Constitution applies to only one office, that of president. The founders inserted “natural born” in the Constitution for that one office because it obviously was intended to mean something special.

Obama and his supporters—Anderson Cooper, CNN, Robert Gibbs and others–try to pretend the very specific language of the founders was meaningless and should be ignored. As a constitutional scholar I do not believe that is the case. And I do not believe Barack Obama is remotely eligible to serve as president (unless, of course, his real father is really Frank Marshall Davis, in which case both of his parents were American citizens).

The Birther movement will continue to grow and metastasize as we approach the 2012 election season. We have political plans that will be unveiled shortly.

Today even baseball players are aware of Obama’s constitutional ineligibility. Tomorrow the American people are going to rise up and throw the usurper (sorry, Ms. Dowd, he is a usurper) out of office. Today 100 million Americans have doubts about Obama’s origins. In due course the entire world will learn the truth, and learn that Barack Obama was the biggest scam artist in American political history. It’s only a matter of time.

Our democracy died when Obama lied.

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate, Imam Obama, please tell the truth and stop lying about who you are.

Obama’s religion? That’s a story for another day (coming soon).

ANDY MARTIN’S 2008 PREDICTION HAS COME TRUE: DEMOCRATS ELECTED A “LIBERAL REPUBLICAN” AS PRESIDENT

(NEW YORK)(December 8, 2010) Six and a half years ago I became Barack Obama’s first critic. Later I became the first name on Barack Obama’s enemies list. Obama’s political thugs, led by Robert Gibbs, smeared me. George Soros’ bully boys slimed me. But I kept writing the truth about Barack “Barry” Obama.

While I am personally a conservative, when I write as an analyst I am neither right nor left. I fight to find the facts, and I work to tell the truth. Let the chips fall where they may. But the truth was never what Barack Obama wanted. Barry Obama had pumped himself up to believe he was some sort of “god” who floated above the American people or, as I called him, the “Lion King.” The “truth” was the last thing Obama wanted me to write.

In the wake of the November election Obama has finally had to act like a president, not a sun god. And the Democratic Party’s left is in frenzy. The last thing the Democrats wanted was a mere “president.” They thought they had elected a liberal dictator.

We now find out all of my earlier criticisms about Obama were true, from way back in 2004 to the present date. Obama is really the “little man on the wedding cake” that I called him in 2008.

Yesterday someone from Harvard called Obama an “alien mediator” with “little experience” in leadership. “Alien?” “Little experience?” Those are not kind words:

But Obama’s “Et tu, Brute” moment may have arrived with a bitter attack posted yesterday by an Illinois liberal. It was Illinois liberals, after all, that originally gave us Obama-the-Myth and papered-over Obama-the-Man.

Ellen Gill is a leftist blogger in the north suburbs, and she posted a guest blog by Lee Goodman, a North Shore liberal. Lee Goodman is a former congressional candidate in the liberal 10th congressional district. I have added own annotations to Mr. Goodman’s cri-de-coeur; mine are the capital letters.

Where does Obama go from here? He has become the “Charley Crist” of national politics, abandoned by his own party. Who will become the liberal “David” that will slay “Obama-the-Goliath” in 2012? It’s not clear right now [Hillary Clinton, anyone?]. Democrats elected a liberal Republican in 2008, only they didn’t realize it at the time. Obama may have truly become a “man without a party.”

Obama is pursuing George Bush’s policy in Iraq, and has doubled down on Bush’s approach in Afghanistan and he is getting ready to teach the Chinese a lesson. He has now adopted the “Bush tax cuts” as Obama’s own. Obama has done more to resurrect and rehabilitate George Bush’s reputation than any Republican.

How can liberals run against “Bush tax cuts” in 2012 after adopting them as their own in 2010? What’s next? A “Mission Accomplished” sign for the White House? Is Obama going to a Charley Crist and bolt the Democrats to run as an Independent? Or will he take on the mantle of becoming the Republican candidate for president in 2012? Or just retire and cash in financially, à la Bill Clinton?

As always, I will be fighting to find the facts, and trying to tell the truth. As the curtain comes up on the second half of his presidency, Barack Obama will find that many of his supporters, disappointed by his poor performance, left during the intermission. They will not be back. [LEFTIST CAPITULATION]

Where will they go? Anywhere but the Democratic or Republican parties, both of which are seen as hopelessly controlled by corrupt individual and corporate interests. [THIS IS TRUE] Many will sit out the next election, and perhaps many more elections after that. After two years of making apologies for an ineffective President and clinging to the hope that he would reveal that his spineless capitulation on major issues was actually a strategic step in his master plan, they are finally talking openly about their feelings of having been betrayed.
[BETRAYAL!]

Having helped elect the nation’s first African-American president [AFFIRMATIVE ACTION], many felt obligated and eager to give Obama a fair chance to settle into the job and find a way to overcome whatever lingering racism might impede his efforts. But his lack of dedication to the causes he was elected to champion has finally led his backers to concede that although race should not be a disqualification, neither should it be used to insulate a president from criticism. One can be both an African-American president and a bad president. [REALITY SETS IN]

Mr. Obama’s inexhaustible desire to get along with those who oppose his purported objectives has left progressives doubting that the goals he spoke of during his campaign were ever really close to his heart. Early on, when he realized he could attract vast contributions, he retreated from his pledge to accept only public funding, pretending that the lobbyists and special pleaders who gave him millions of dollars would not expect or receive anything in return. [TWO-FACED OBAMA, FINANCED BY GEORGE SOROS & CO.] Even as he sought his party’s nomination by promising to stop the wars, he interjected into his speeches the violent language of the militarists and said we must kill our enemies. Turning his back on key supporters, he gave a highly visible role in his inauguration to an opponent of civil rights. Relentlessly, he has trodden upon the hopes of those whom he swore to protect. And most recently, while pledging to protect Social Security, he struck a deal that will rob that system of the revenue it needs, paving the way for its collapse. [THIS IS TRUE] He has outdone Bush by cutting needed taxes that no one was asking to have cut. [BUSH LIVES!]

There may never have been any reason to expect anything more of Obama. He had an undistinguished career as a state senator, then went on to the U.S. Senate where he did virtually nothing except campaign for President. [NOW YOU TELL US] Once in the White House, he chose as his chief of staff a bully who had no desire to put the nation’s or the president’s interests above his own and an attorney general who is now harassing the very individuals who carried the banners of peace and justice under which Obama once paraded. [IS THAT THE GUY WHO WANTS TO BE MAYOR OF CHICAGO?]

On his journey towards failure, Obama also had help – lots of it – within his own party. Instead of challenging him when he rejected their counsel, they played the loyal hacks. [DEMOCRATIC PARTY HACKS; ROUND UP THE USUAL SUSPECTS] Misunderstanding their constitutional duty to be a co-equal branch of government, they mostly deferred to his limp plans. Taking the president and Democratic congress together, there was not enough backbone to support even a moderately strong policy.

The role the Republicans played deserves no more than a passing comment. They sabotaged their own country. [BLAME THE REPUBLICANS FOR OBAMA’S FAILURES]

The situation is not hopeless, but progressives have some very difficult choices to make. First, they will have to decide whether they even want to bother working for the change that Obama preached about but did not try to deliver. To bring about this change, they will have to find new ways of doing things, and they can expect the entrenched powers to resist their efforts. [ST. PAUL’S “PRINCIPALITIES AND POWERS?] They will have to struggle mightily and be willing to take personal risks, just to lay the groundwork for reforms that many of them will not see in their lifetimes. They will have to understand that the phrase of the Declaration of Independence, “when in the course of human events,” which led to a momentous revolution more than two hundred thirty years ago, starts with the word “when.” “When” is now.

(WASHINGTON, DC)(December 6, 2010) A year ago, December 28th, 2009, I held a Chicago news conference to release the information that Republican Party rumors alleged that Congressman (now Senator) Mark Kirk was a closeted homosexual. My statements were based, in part, on objective facts that had been posted and are still posted on the Internet:

I pointed out the obvious: that if elected, Kirk would be subjected to pressure and blackmail from homosexual activists because of Kirk’s closeted homosexual lifestyle.

Not surprisingly, the Chicago media attacked me instead of Kirk. I had no problem with Kirk being gay; but I did have a problem with his closeted lifestyle. The mainstream media are totally under the control of gay sympathizers.

Kirk was eventually outed by gay activists last June after he voted against repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” earlier this year. After being exposed as a homosexual by the homosexual community, Kirk recruited his former wife to promise that Kirk would vote “for” repeal of DADT if he was elected to the senate.

Because of his psychiatric problems, namely a pathological addiction to lying about his military service and personal history, Kirk was barely elected to the U. S. Senate on November 2nd.

Now, just a week after being sworn in, Kirk is being targeted by supporters of repealing “Don’t Ask, Don’t tell.” Anti-DADT repeal Senator John McCain came to Illinois during the fall campaign to cover up Kirk’s personal peccadilloes. Will Kirk now betray McCain’s support?

Mark Kirk is a ticking time bomb for the Republican Party. Kirk is following in the footsteps of his friend Mark Foley, the closeted pedophile congressman who embarrassed and then defeated Republican Party reelection prospects in 2006.

I don’t have a problem with Kirk’s homosexuality. I do have a problem with Kirk’s remaining closeted while serving in national office for the generally conservative Republican Party. Illinoisans deserve better than six more years of a senator who is being blackmailed by gay activists. As that great Obama theologian Reverend Jeremiah Wright would say, “Kirk’s chickens have come home to roost, one week after he was sworn in.”

He’s asking senators to end “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” Now, with a vote coming any day, we need as many Americans as possible to join the effort.

Senator Mark Kirk’s vote is critical: The last time repeal came up in the Senate, he voted against it — and it failed by just two votes.

Now that a Pentagon study confirms that ending this policy would not negatively affect our military readiness or troop morale, there’s a real possibility we could get him to change his mind.

“Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” discriminates against patriotic men and women who sacrifice so much for our country — gay and lesbian members of our military who deserve to be treated equally.

The Pentagon’s findings are just the latest signal that our troops are ready for this change. And top military leaders across the board — from Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Admiral Michael Mullen to Defense Secretary Robert Gates to General Colin Powell — have publicly voiced their support for repeal.

Sen. Kirk needs to know we’re counting on him to stand up and support this important legislation regardless of his party affiliation. He needs to know we’re watching and ready to respond to discrimination of any kind.

He needs to know a majority of Americans believe, as the President said, we must end this law “because it is the right thing to do” — that those who are brave enough to stand up and serve our country deserve to do so openly.

(PALM BEACH)(December 3, 2010) Drama Queen Barry Obama is off on another “holiday” (Christmas?) junket to exploit American forces for his own flagging personal popularity. The Flying Muslim, who also doubles as President of the United States, is going to be in the air somewhere around 24 hours in total, and burning up millions of dollars in taxpayer money, to visit American puppet Hamid Karzai and speak with our officers for three hours “on the ground” in Afghanistan.

Two thousand American service men and women are also being used as a backdrop to showcase Obama as the Muslim “commander-in-chief” of U. S. forces in Afghanistan.

Was this trip really necessary?

Republicans constantly make fun Obama because he is expected to “manage” the U. S. government when Obama has never managed anything more complex than his household budget, with Michelle’s help, before becoming Imam-in-Chief in the White House. Let’s be blunt about this: Obama is no “manager.” It shows in Afghanistan. Obama doesn’t even reflect middle management ability. He is not competent to be a Foreign Service Officer in the State Department, let alone president.

We have a policy in “Afghanistan” that is not a policy. Our “middle management” in the field, the Afghan government, is really our enemy. We are playing a game of “pretend” with American lives and tax dollars that we borrow from China to finance our imperialist policies in Asia.

Obama’s latest trip has been met with the usual media malarkey.
Today’s media report that his travels, as always, are “unannounced,” and go to “heavily guarded” Afghanistan, where Obama is conducting a “comprehensive assessment” and “detailed review” of conditions in that conflict (see links below). Been there, done that.

I don’t want to stick (shtick?) yet another fork in Obama, but does anyone remember back in the days (during the Bush years) when American leaders wistfully hoped for a “Karzai” to lead Iraq? Has Obama learned nothing from recent history? No one calls Karzai a model of local leadership any more. He’s a crook. Karzai is just another small-time dictator who is maintained in power through American blood and treasure.

Obama’s war is a joke. It is time for the new Republican Congress to develop a coherent anti-terrorism strategy that targets our real enemies and shuts down Obama’s “Muslim apology tour” of Islamic capitals. Air Force One should be grounded until further notice.

Why does Obama need to spend a day going, and a day coming, to Afghanistan when he has competent commanders on the scene?

And what about our military weather forecasters?

Did anyone tell Obama the weather can be poor in Afghanistan in December? (Yes, I have been in Afghanistan in the winter; don’t ask.) Did the White House ask for a local weather forecast yesterday before flying off on its magic carpet to Afghanistan? Apparently not. Part of Obama’s trip, helicoptering to Kabul, had to be cancelled because of “bad weather.” Surprise? Can this gang even forecast the weather properly?

Hamid Karzai is upset that U. S. Special Forces are killing Taliban troopers, because the jihadis also double as opium smugglers and Karzai’s “own” drug dealers. Can Afghanistan be any more ridiculous? A waste of U. S. resources? Well, yes. Last month we found out that a “Taliban leader” we were negotiating with was merely an imposter. Disgraceful. Humiliating. Karzai didn’t know who he was negotiating with? Or was he deliberately trying to undermine the U. S. by making us look like jerks? Guess.

Karzai is both a fool (for insulting our intelligence) and a psycho (for expecting the American people to endlessly play along with his circus). I don’t want to endorse the shamelessly criminal Wikileaks scandal, but the documents which are now public reflect that Obama actually knows the truth. Karzai has not fooled our leadership in Afghanistan. So why is Obama fooling us? Thanks Wikileaks. We may deplore the breach of security (and our own incompetence) but it is refreshing to know Americans in Kabul know who and what Karzai really is. A thug, crook and pretender. An enemy.

Afghanistan and Pakistan are serious problems. Much as I would like to see us pull up stakes and leave, we can’t. In the absence of any government in the region, the Taliban and Muslim terrorists would immediately fill the vacuum.

So we don’t want to stay, and we can’t leave. That’s a real foreign policy conundrum.

In a nutshell, where do we go?

First, we have to stop pretending Karzai is a “president” (Karzai is as much of a “president” as Obama) and give Karzai twenty-for hours to clear out and leave Afghanistan. We need to file criminal charges against the Karzai clan for looting billions of dollars in American aid, and trace the money right back to where the cash is sitting in Middle Eastern banks.

Second, we need to crate some form of U. N. “trusteeship” in Afghanistan, and create a government that’s selected locally under U. N. supervision. No more allowing Karzai to rig the vote and then intimidate the vote-counters so he can steal even more local offices from his own people. Islamic extremists should be banned from the elections. It is time to stop coddling any murderers and thieves who falsely travel under the banner of Islam. Violent Islamists have nothing to contribute to the peace process.

Third, we need to integrate Afghanistan forces into the NATO/U. S. matrix and teach Afghan soldiers and police on the job. The belief that Afghan forces can independently defend against a terrorist insurgency, now, next year or ten years from now, is sheer nonsense. Afghans in general have no problem fighting; the Taliban do a very good job of fighting us. So the issue is not fighting ability. The issue is management, leadership, credibility and force/family protection.

Sixty years ago we created a South Korean military by joining Korean recruits with U.S. units. It worked then; it can work again.

Fourth, we should kill terrorists wherever we find them. Karzai is complaining because we are killing too many of his drug-smugglers-cum-“soldiers.”

Fifth, we ought to stop pretending that Barry Obama knows anything about the military, about leadership or about anything else really. Obama is obsessed with gays-in-the-military, not winning the war against terrorists. Obama is a leftist scarecrow who slipped into office because of Americans’ dislike for George Bush and the (formerly?) arrogant Republican Party. It’s time for Republicans in Congress to take control of foreign policy by using the power of the purse to block Obama’s globaloney.

Finally, Obama should stop spending millions of dollars to generate photo ops with American troops. If the country is too dangerous for Obama to leave the base on the ground (which is why he had to helicopter to Kabul) he ought to stay home.

It’s time to run the Karzai circus out of Kabul and adopt a hard line policy against Islamic terrorists and Afghanistan’s political pretenders. It’s also time to tell our two-faced “allies” in Pakistan that the game is up along the border. We will kill every terrorist that poses a threat to either world safety or the local population until every terrorist is in the ground and on the way to his heavenly reward. We will kill terrorists wherever we find them along or close to the Af-Pak border. No excuses.

If Obama had been in charge of World War II, we would still be fighting the Third Reich. Our patience is running short.

Barry Obama needs more time to practice his basketball moves. In the meantime we prevent him from practicing management and leadership with American lives and our national security.

(PALM BEACH)(December 3, 2010) I have followed Kathleen Parker’s career since she was a writer at the Orlando Sentinel in the 1980’s. Parker is a liberal’s idea of what a conservative should be. That’s why she won a liberal Pulitzer Prize. She is “conservative” in a middle-of-the-road sort of way, nonconfrontational and pleasant without being pungent. That’s why CNN chose Parker to be a punching bag for Eliot Spitzer.

The strange thing is, Parker appears to have been the last one in on the joke. She apparently thought she was selected to be on CNN because of her “gravitas” and “manners.” Wrong.

Thursday night (December 2nd) Jay Leno cracked a joke about the coming crackup at Parker-Spitzer. Bad sign. The late-night jokesters are usually the last stop before you get put on the midnight bus to Milledgeville.

Personally, I thought that Kathleen Parker was wrong for the job. She was a total mismatch for Eliot Spitzer. I did not write about the new show when it opened for a couple of reasons. First, I had applied to go up against Spitzer. Parker beat me out. If I came out as critical from the gitgo it might have looked like sour grapes. Second, you hate to be down on something at the start. So I let time take its toll. Now that Parker-Spitzer is all but buried, I can comment.

Parker and Spitzer were mismatched for a number of reasons.

Parker made a big point in media interviews, and even on her own show, of her superior “manners.” Puuuhleeze. When someone tells you how upstanding their manners are, that’s a sign of bad manners. Or sheer stupidity.

Second, love or hate Eliot Spitzer, he’s an experienced advocate. To put a tough advocate up against a creampuff journalist was like putting a heavyweight boxer in the ring with a lightweight “contenda.” It’s no match.

I watch all the cable TV bobbleheads during the evening but I did not pay much attention to Parker-Spitzer because it was so wimpy. Parker would look adoringly in the direction where guests were sitting, and Spitzer would bang away at his agenda. It was “no match” and soon it will be “no mas.”

You can’t pair an experienced aggressive lawyer with someone who is new to TV, and trying to flaunt her manners, and expect a fair fight.

The negative publicity in the New York Post (see links below) is an invitation to Parker to take her leave. CNN sources are portraying Parker as a churlish eccentric who is angry at being pushed around by Spitzer. Worse, we now know Parker has her dog on the set. Not many people write an employment contract that calls for their dog to be in the office.

The fact that “dog-in-the-office” stories are now surfacing on Page Six in the New York Post is a sure sign CNN is hoping Parker will walk the plank voluntarily and not have to be pushed overboard.

You don’t need a liberal/conservative split on a show to have an interesting program. Keith Olbermann is a vicious leftist with a Chavista agenda, but his show is interesting (and humorous) because of the leftist spear-chuckers he brings out to support his majesty. Likewise, Sean Hannity usually manages to hold attention even though his show is heavily skewed to the right. Leftists are under no illusions when they appear on camera with Hannity; they are there to be punching bags for Sean’s agenda.

CNN has a fundamentally flawed broadcasting strategy, and it’s going to get worse. Here’s why. You can be left, or you can be right. But you can’t be mush. If you want to serve up a real conflict between left and right (which Parker-Spitzer was incapable of delivering) you need balanced talents on both sides. You can’t have Miss “Manners” on one side (Parker) and Mr. “Tough Guy” on the other (Spitzer), and expect a fair food fight.

CNN continues to perpetuate a flawed strategy. I am not an admirer of Rachel Maddow’s views (MSNBC) but I occasionally sample her program because of her passionate leftist inanity. She’s entertaining. Larry King was a colossal bore. Now CNN is replicating King’s boring show with a British bore. Piers Morgan is equally doomed to failure.

Reality: not many celebrities today can sustain an interesting one-hour conversation. Most celebs are just plain dumb, and boring. Fifteen minutes, maybe half an hour at the most. King was out of another era, and CNN’s attempts to “freshen” a dated format with a new practitioner won’t move the ratings very much.

Well, CNN can now hire me to replace Parker. No one has ever called me a creampuff. And I’d also like to take on Anderson Cooper and all of his anti-Birther lies as well. CNN can’t do any worse with me than they did with Parker. In the meantime, Kathleen can head back to South Carolina and luxuriate in her superior “manners.” It’s the 150th anniversary of the start of the Civil War. They need her down there. Kathleen, call home.

CNN, get a life, and get a real programming schedule before MSNBC and Fox News eat any more of your lunch. You can’t draw viewers with creampuff programs. Piers Morgan will follow in Larry King’s footsteps. Just give Morgan a few moths. You’ll see.

Footnote to history: I was one of the early guests who helped pioneer talk television. And I helped Fox News launch in 1966, by reporting for Fox from Palm Beach. Been there, done that, darling. Parker-Spitzer? Done in.

THE VERDICT: The Parker-Spitzer marriage is doomed. Call the next case.
