ANDY MARTIN: Barack Obama “caves” on Consumer Protection Agency
Illinois consumer protection activist Andy Martin says Obama is surrendering to Congress before Republicans even win. Obama has betrayed Elizabeth Warren because he is afraid to formally nominate her to head the new consumer protection agency within the Federal Reserve Board. Martin supports the agency and says that ordinary Americans need someone to stand up for them and against Wall Street bloodsuckers. It ain’t gonna be ‘Bama.

Martin says that Obama’s refusal to nominating Elizabeth Warren to head the new consumer protection agency shows Obama is a scardy-cat

MARTIN SAYS DEMOCRATS SHOULD BE TERRIFIED OF “TWO MORE YEARS” WITH BARRY-O
ANDY SAYS MARK KIRK IS A VALET AND STOOGE FOR WALL STREET BLOODSUCKERS
(NEW YORK)(September 17, 2010) Almost four (4) years ago I assembled a team of experts to prepare a psychological profile of then-Senator Barack Obama. I published my psychological profile of Obama during our “Obama Week” in February, 2007. The profile became a part of my bestselling book, “Obama: The Man Behind The Mask.” Buy the book and read it. You’ll be scared. This man is now “commander” in-chief. Or something like that.
We predicted Obama had a brittle personality and that if he was placed under pressure he would collapse. He sure is.
He’s even afraid to formally nominate Elizabeth Warren to head the new consumer protection agency.
I happen to differ with Wall Street bloodsuckers and Republican Party bloodsuckers who take cash to oppose basic consumer protections. I think the new consumer protection agency located within the Federal Reserve Board is a great idea.
If this new agency had been in existence before 2008, our economy would not have crashed. Consumers deserve more protection from government. Wall Street leeches and bankers have lawyers and lobbyists to protect them. Ordinary people have no one. Any time you order a credit card, buy a car or own a home you get endless paperwork that no one (except a good lawyer) can understand.
I was Illinois’ first consumer advocate, way back in 1970 (see http://www.AndyMartin.com) and I have always stood for protecting the ordinary citizen from the Gordon Gekkos of this world. I tried the first consumer protection lawsuit at the Federal Reserve Board. In 1973.
Mark Kirk is a valet, a servant really, of Wall Street and the moneyed bosses that have orchestrated and controlled and manipulated and promoted Kirk’s career. Kirk is no Gekko; Kirk is merely a Gekko doolie. Kirk took a cool million in campaign cash from his Wall Street bosses. Whose side do you think the Kirkster is on?
But back to Obama. Instead of fighting for what he believes is right, and formally nominating Professor Warren for senate confirmation to head her new agency, Obama punted and merely named her an “adviser.” He was afraid of a confirmation fight. The Republicans have not even won the election yet and already Obama is surrendering! Now you know why foreign leaders have contempt for Obama.
How long before Obama bows down to Speaker John Boehner the way Barry bowed to the Saudi king and the Japanese emperor? Senator Mitch McConnell is also a bow-down-to-me leader-in-waiting.
If I was a Democrat I would be incontinent (to put it politely) right now. My pants would feel very heavy. Luckily I’m conservative Republican.
Democrats are being led by a coward. Now you know why ContrarianCommentary.com’s analysis is better than the mainstream media’s, and why we project that a lot of Republicans are going to make it to Washington that Washington is not too happy to see. We call ‘em as we see ‘em. I may be a Republican but I’m a truth-telling Republican, not a stooge for special interests the way Kirk is.
I just hope these new legislators don’t betray the people who sent them. Republicans have a history of doing that. Look at how they frittered away the fruits of 1994.
At the end of the day, we need balance in government. We do not need little Wall Street stooges such as Mark Kirk in the senate, ready to vacuum up campaign cash and sell out the working families of Illinois. We need someone that stands for prosperity, economic opportunity and sensible consumer protections as I do. Someone who stands up for the little folks and is not always taking campaign cash from the Pritzkers.
Maybe Obama should nominate me to lead the new consumer protection agency. I’m always ready to fight for the ordinary citizen. Obama is not.
But then, Barry Obama is the president from Goldman Sachs. He took a cool million in campaign cash from the Goldman Sachs pirates who profit while Americans suffer. Bend over, America.
You can’t really trust either party. You can only trust men and women of integrity who offer themselves for public service. And they are in short supply.
